TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all offers, reservations and agreements regarding the rental of all accommodation offered by Vawidi based in Vienna or its affiliates. In these General Terms and Conditions, the term "tenant" means: the person who enters into a contract with Vawidi for the rental/use of any accommodation. The term "user" (also referred to as guest) also means: the tenant and the persons specified by the tenant who (will) use the accommodation rented by the tenant.
Vawidi only accepts reservations from persons over the age of 18 and reserves the right to refuse a reservation at any time, without giving reasons.
Upon receipt of your reservation, Vawidi will send a written confirmation of the reservation within 1 day and invoice for the booking. You must check the written confirmation and invoice for accuracy immediately upon receipt. Any inaccuracies or alleged inaccuracies must always be brought to our attention in writing within 3 days of the date of the confirmation/invoice and in any event prior to departure. If you have not received a written confirmation and invoice within 1 day of making the reservation, please contact Vawidi.
If, due to unforeseen circumstances, Vawidi has to change a booked reservation with regard to the location or the type and/or location of the accommodation, Vawidi can offer you a suitable alternative. Bookings made before 1 September with an arrival date in the following calendar year may be cancelled by Vawidi before 31 August if there is reason to do so due to new developments since the booking date. If necessary, Vawidi will offer you alternative locations for the selected date or refund your deposit in full.
Vawidi reserves the right to change the winner of a competition to an alternative date. The winner is not entitled to any compensation.
2. Reservations for groupsSpecial conditions may apply for groups, including for escorts. In certain cases, Vawidi reserves the right to refuse a reservation based on the purpose and the group size. Any group discount is subject to availability and occupancy.
3. PricesThe prices on the confirmation/invoice are binding, except for obvious system errors. Any discount promotions or special offers cannot be granted after the confirmation/invoice has been sent by Vawidi.
All prices are inclusive of VAT, unless otherwise stated. Vawidi has the right to increase prices due to temporary adjustments in legislation or regulations (including but not limited to VAT, tourist tax, insurance tax, etc.) upon which Vawidi has no control.
The rental price includes the following services:
- The rental of a fully furnished accommodation
- Access and use of the Vawidi site
- Water consumption
- Bed linen
- VAT according to the guidelines of the country and destination
- Final cleaning
- Reservation and processing fees
Services not included are:
- Additional costs for persistent dirt
- Tourist tax (if applicable)
5. Tourist tax and levies
The accommodation rent is exclusive of any applicable visitor's tax and other tourist taxes. Please pay these on arrival on site. The amount of the taxes may vary depending on the municipality in which your chosen Vawidi location is located. The maximum number of people spending at least one night in the accommodation applies for the calculation of the number of people staying per reservation period.
You can bring your dog to some Vawidi locations (see the information on the website). If allowed, you may bring a maximum of 2 dogs per accommodation. Your dog must be registered at the time of reservation and arrival. There is an additional charge for dogs.
Payment for the booked Vawidi accommodation is made in a single transaction only. Payment is to be made immediately after booking. Payment by instant bank transfer or credit card is free of charge. A transaction fee of €10 is charged for PayPal payments, when this is possible. In case of late or incomplete payment of the invoiced amount, you are immediately in default. In this case, Vawidi will send you a reminder. If the full amount is not received in Vawidi's accounts within 14 days of the reminder date, Vawidi is entitled to cancel your reservation.
8. Reservation changes
Changes to reservations must be made by the contract partner.Vawidi is not obliged to accept changes to a booking made after the reservation has been confirmed. Vawidi has the choice whether, and to what extent, to accept the changes. Vawidi is entitled to charge changed fees, if a variation has occurred. These amount to €55 for each change up to a maximum of 4 weeks before the start of the holiday. The costs will not be charged if you wish to extend a reservation or book to another higher priced period. In case of a change to a cheaper period, or a cancellation of the booking within 4 weeks before departure, we will charge the full booking amount.
If, after making a booking for one or more accommodations, you wish to reduce the number of accommodations reserved, the cancellation policy will apply.
A fee of €15 will be charged for changes to extras. Changes within 2 weeks before arrival are generally excluded.
9. Transfer of rights
The tenant and other users may not substitute the accommodation under any name and for any reason to anyone other than the persons named in the agreement, unless Vawidi has agreed to do so. If you have agreed with Vawidi that one or more users will be replaced, you remain jointly and severally liable to Vawidi for the payment of any rent still due, the amendment costs and any additional costs arising from the replacement, as well as any cancellation costs, in addition to the tenant and/or the users you and/or other users replace.
10. Cancellation deadlines
- There is no 14-day right of withdrawal for travels.
- In case of cancellation up to 2 weeks before departure, we will charge you 30% of the rental amount, minimum €150.
- In case of cancellation 2 weeks before departure, 100% of the rental amount is due.
- In the event of premature termination of the trip, the full amount of the trip must be paid.
We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.
11. Arrival and departure
After paying the full invoice amount, you can print out your travel documents. Your travel voucher must be presented at the Vawidi location upon arrival.
At check-in, all guests must present their ID in addition to the travel voucher. Without proof of identity, the host may decide not to accommodate the guests.
You can move into your accommodation on the day of arrival between 16:00 and 20:00.
Please pay any applicable visitor's tax or other tourist taxes to your host upon arrival.
Every guest is obliged to familiarise himself with the safety instructions which are available on site.
On the day of departure, you should have left the accommodation before 10.30 a.m. to allow cleaning procedures.
In case of late departure, a fee of €30 will be charged on site. It is the guests’ responsibility to ensure that the dishes have been washed and the rubbish thrown away when leaving the accommodation.
If the accommodation is not left tidy on departure, the host is entitled to charge an additional fee of €30.
If you do not like something during your stay, always contact your local host first so that we can find a quick solution. After your stay, complaints must always be submitted in writing by the contract partner via our e-mail address info@Vawidi.com. See also point 18 in these General Terms and Conditions.
12. House rules
In order to make the stay at the Vawidi site as pleasant as possible for all our guests, all guests must comply with the (behavioural) rules laid down in the house. You can view the house rules upon arrival. If you wish, we can also send them to you. Violations of the house rules can lead to forced departure from the premises. In such a case, there are no legal claims to a refund of the rental amount or part of it. If the accommodation is not left clean on departure, the host may charge €30 for cleaning costs. Vawidi reserves the right to make changes regarding the organisation and opening hours of the leisure and the facilities. If the host seriously suspects that the tenant of an accommodation has violated the law and / or public order and / or morality or has left the accommodation prematurely, he is entitled to gain access to the accommodation. Necessary maintenance work on the accommodation or the premises shall be accepted without any right to compensation.
Every guest is obliged to familiarise himself with the safety instructions which are available on site.
14. Internet use
The renter and the people travelling with him/her are responsible for the proper use of this service. Vawidi is not liable for any damage caused by the use of the internet / electricity network or by network failures.
15. Additional services
Other additional services such as cleaning and repair of accommodation, catering facilities, bicycle hire etc. that you use during your stay are provided by persons, companies and / or other organisations that act completely independently from Vawidi and for whom we act only as agents and accept no liability whatsoever. Your local hosts and any third parties providing additional services are governed by their own terms and conditions. Some of these terms and conditions may limit or exclude the liability of the owner or service provider to you. Terms and conditions are available from the supplier on request.
16. Force majeureIn the event that Vawidi is temporarily or permanently unable to fulfil all or part of the agreement due to force majeure, Vawidi may propose a change (other accommodation/other travel time, etc.) within 14 days of becoming aware of the impossibility to fulfil the agreement. Vawidi may suspend the fulfilment of its obligations in the event of force majeure or circumstances beyond Vawidi's control. In the event of force majeure, Vawidi is not obliged to compensate for damages or costs or to refund the rental price. Force majeure occurs when performance of the agreement is prevented in whole or in part, temporarily or otherwise, by circumstances beyond Vawidi's control, including threat of war, strikes, blockades, fire, floods, hail or similar, as well as government action, epidemics, quarantines and other disorders or events.
The use of the Vawidi accommodation and the facilities on site is at the tenant's and users' own risk. Vawidi and the concerned Vawidi site accept no liability for:
- Theft, loss or damage of any kind occurring during or as a result of a stay at one of our Vawidi sites.
- Failure or inactivation of technical equipment and failure or closure of facilities on the premises.
In specific relation to Covid-19, each guest bears their own responsibility and any consequences that Covid-19 may have for the hirer/user or for the booking are their own responsibility.The renter and the persons accompanying him/her are jointly and severally liable for all loss and / or damage incurred by Vawidi, the concerned site operator and / or third parties as a direct or indirect consequence of their stay, whether caused by acts or omissions by themselves or by third parties on the site with their consent, as well as for all damage caused by an animal and / or property in their possession. The hirer indemnifies Vawidi against all claims by third parties in respect of damage resulting from acts or omissions of the hirer, other users, their travelling companions or third parties who are on the site with their permission. Extra charges may apply if the accommodation is not used or left properly.
Despite all the care and efforts made by Vawidi and the Vawidi sites, you may have a legitimate complaint. Complaints must be reported immediately to your host on site. This gives us the opportunity to respond immediately. If a complaint cannot be satisfactorily resolved, the contractor has the option of submitting this complaint in writing to Vawidi no later than one month after departure from the Vawidi site via our email address info@Vawidi.com
19. Daily visitors / electricity
Electricity consumption in Vawidi accommodation is generally included in the tour price. Your host is entitled to charge separately for your daily visiting guests and their use of electricity in communal facilities. This may vary from place to place.
All photos shared on social media or otherwise with Vawidi may be used without further permission or payment from Vawidi.
21. Data protection and cookies

These General Terms and Conditions are part of the agreement between Vawidi and the hirer and supersede all previous General Terms and Conditions previously declared applicable. Vawidi therefore rejects all General Terms and Conditions referred to or used by the hirer. Agreements deviating from these General Terms and Conditions are only valid if they have been agreed in writing. We reserve the right to make changes to the content of our publications. Obvious printing errors are not binding on us. Vawidi sends its correspondence digitally unless this is impossible.
Austrian law shall apply to agreements concluded, amended or integrated on the basis of these General Terms and Conditions. Disputes regarding these agreements can only be filed with the district court in Vienna. In the event of a court dispute, the German version shall prevail.
These general conditions apply to all bookings made directly or indirectly with Vawidi.
All information and explanations on these Internet pages are non-binding. Vawidi accepts no responsibility for the correctness and completeness of the contents. No guarantee is given and no assurance of product characteristics is made. No legal claims can be derived from the contents of the internet pages. Errors in the content will be corrected immediately upon knowledge thereof. The contents of the Internet pages may not be permanently up-to-date due to time-delayed updating. Therefore, please ask us about the status, technical details and availability of products and services. Links to other Internet sites are not permanently checked. Vawidi does not guarantee the accuracy of data and software that can be downloaded from the internet pages. The software is checked by Vawidi for viruses. Nevertheless, we recommend to check downloaded data and software using the latest antivirus software.
Copyrights and other special protection rights
The content of these Internet pages is protected by copyright. One copy of the information of the internet pages may be stored on a single computer for non-commercial and personal internal use. Graphics, texts, logos, images etc. may only be downloaded, reproduced, copied, modified, published, sent, transmitted or used in any other form with the written permission of Vawidi. Product and company names mentioned may be registered trademarks or brands. Unauthorised use may lead to claims for damages and injunctive relief.
Vawidi is not liable for damages, in particular for direct or indirect consequential damages, loss of data, loss of profit, system or production failures, which result from the use of these Internet pages or the downloading of data. The exclusion of liability shall not apply in the event of damage caused by the use of the Internet pages or the downloading of data due to intent or gross negligence. The legal relationship between you and Vawidi arising from the use of the Internet pages is subject to Austrian law.
